About Us

The Global Business Travel Association - Austin Chapter, founded in 1990, is a chapter of the Global Business Travel Association (GBTA) whose members represent  corporate travel and meetings executives, major corporations and travel suppliers throughout the world.  GBTA-Austin Chapter, along with the global organization, provides our members with information on travel and meetings technology, services, legislation, security, benchmarking and costs that affect the business travel and meetings industry.

GBTA - Austin Chapter is an organization of corporate travel  managers/coordinators and travel industry suppliers. We are a professional organization dedicated to:

  • upgrading the travel  profession
  • providing a venue for the sharing of travel-related information and professional expertise
  • conducting informative and educational meetings on current travel industry topics that provide members with increased knowledge, skill and ability to manage travel

Who belongs to the GBTA - Austin Chapter?
Membership is open to all individuals who are engaged in travel, procurement, transportation, lodging and associated professions. 

GBTA - Austin Chapter's membership includes distinguished professionals from many Central Texas companies, such as: 
University of Texas System, Tokyo Electron America, National Instruments, American Airlines, C3 Presents, CLEAResult, Enterprise Rent-A-Car and National Car Rental, AMD, Carlson Wagonlit Travel, Four Seasons Hotel Austin, Embassy Suites, Omni Hotel, Doubletree Suites Hotel, Hyatt Regency Hotel, Avis/Budget Group, United Airlines, Concur, NXP and many other companies. 

The travel managers in the association are responsible for $1 million to over $40 million annually in travel revenues.
